BERRY PICKIN'

                                                   This Painting Has Been Sold

This delightful summer scene includes two figures, mother and child, as if heading home after a day of picking berries, their pails full. Just ahead they will reach the homeplace and a cool drink of water.

This watercolor has remained in magnificent condition considering it was created by Sawyier over 100 years ago. The family that owns this work has historic roots in Frankfort. Most likely, this painting was acquired directly from Paul Sawyier.
